Sweetened by Nature: White Peach Sorbet

With Summer coming to end in half of the world and getting ready to begin on the other half, now is a good time to regale in the flavors of one of the most popular fruits throughout Asia... the peach!

There may not be a more fragrant and flavorful fruit than a ripe peach. Though they are wonderful to eat right off the tree, they are also quite versatile within the kitchen in dishes from entree's to desserts.

With this sherbet (a non-dairy ice cream) we are going to use white peaches. We use white peaches due to the fact the light pastel color is quite pleasing to the eye and their flavors holds up during the freezing process. You can use the usual yellow peach or even nectarines (which botanically speaking, are the same exact fruit as the peach with just a different skin).
