Fusing Japanese and Thai Foods: Spicy Sweet Yakisboa Shrimp

Something very exciting happens when you fuse the cuisine of Japan and Thailand. You get a freshness which is unsurpassed combined with flavors that are out of this world. A perfect example of this is the Fusion Asiana original dish called Spicy Sweet Yakisoba Shrimp!

Yakisoba is a wonderful Japanese noodle. Yakisoba noodles can be bought at most markets with an Asian section. They are already cooked so all you really have to do is heat them up.

The sweetness and spiciness of this dish comes from using an Asian sweet chili sauce, usually sold under the brand Mae Ploy. It is also available at most markets. The best shrimp to use for this dish are medium size, as smaller ones really can't hold up to the heat of the cooking process.

This is a very simple dish to make at home and takes very little time.
