A Taste of Singapore with Singapore Fried Fish

You will never truly experience Asia until you have spent time in Singapore. It is the perfect fusing of old and new. It is a tropical paradise whose beauty is often times, literally, breathtaking. And then there is the food and what glorious food it is!

The native cuisine of Singapore is a fusion of Chinese and Malaysian fare. Seafood is a mainstay of the Singapore diet and often times you will find it served with fruit. This is really a brilliant combination as the natural citric acid from the fruit will often times enhance the fresh flavors of the seafood.

When making Singapore Fried Fish, you can use any type of "fleshy" fish. You want a "fleshy" type of fish as the fish will be stir-fried and you don't want it to break apart. At Fusion Asiana we serve this dish with honeydew melon but you can use any type of tropical fruit you wish.
