Beer, it is one of the favorite adult beverages throughout Asia. Asian
beers have a little more hop taste than American beers and due to this,
they make a wonderful batter for fried fish!
Fish frying is an
American tradition but it is also quite popular in certain parts of
Asia. There are many street food vendors which feature fried fish and
more times that not, the batter is made liquid due to beer.
The best fish to use for Asian Beer
Battered Fish is either cod or pollock. At Fusion Asiana we prefer
pollock, as the fillets are much thicker (see the pictures) and they fry
up without ever falling apart. Also of note is the fact pollock is
usually much more inexpensive than cod.
