Fun to Make and Fun to Eat: Asian Puff Bread

Bread: According to lore, it is the staff of life. There is just something about eating freshly made bread that makes the mouth smile and the stomach laugh. Not all breads are created equal, however, as we will prove with this fantastic and easy to make Asian Puff Bread.

I first has Asian Puff Bread while I was enjoying the street foods throughout Asia. They made the bread right there on the street and offered it with grilled meat and fish. It is the perfect bread for such foods as while it fries, it creates a pocket. You break the bread open and you can stuff it! You might be thinking it is along the lines of the Middle Eastern Pita Bread. It's not... but close.

This is considered a "fast" bread since it contains no yeast and has no rising time. In some parts of the world, this bread is known by other names including Balloon Bread. It's fun to make and even more fun to eat!
