Classic Asian Roasted Duck

When it comes to duck, no one can prepare it quite like the countries which make up Asia. There are many ways to prepare duck but the two most famous are Peking Duck (which takes a couple of days to make properly) and this unreal Asian Roasted Duck.

Most American's tend to shy away from preparing duck at home due to the fact that ducks are very fatty. In Asia before they cook the duck, they will often render the majority of the fat out of the duck and the process is very simple and Chef Larry Edwards will show you this process in a separate post.

The real secret in preparing Asian Roasted Duck is in the marinade. As you will note from the recipe, the duck is marinated in a solution featuring tea!

Believe it or not, this is an incredibly simple dish to make at home and it is almost impossible to screw-up. Once you taste this duck, you will be a fan for life!
