Meatless Monday: Turmeric and Black Seed Fried Potatoes

When it comes to Meatless Monday at Fusion Asiana we prove potatoes are not boring! We also prove "fried" potatoes are not the greasy unhealthy dish many American's eat. These fried potatoes are tasty and... healthy!

There is a little secret in making a dish like this and you'll see it in the pictures. You first want to boil the whole potatoes with their skin on. This will result in a wonderful texture for the potatoes and keep them from getting soggy.




Our combination of spices known as turmeric and chili powder add not only to the flavor of this dish, but both spices are known cancer fighters. Then there are the black seeds (black sesame seeds) which are considered one of Natures' wonder foods.

This is a very simple dish to make at home and can be used as either a side-dish or a healthy and vegetarian entree.
