Classic Cambodia: Cambodian Red Pepper Shrimp Yakisoba

Usually when you think of the culinary fare from Cambodia, you think spicy. This is not the case with Cambodian Red Pepper Shrimp Yakisoba. Here we are using sweet red peppers, which gives this dish a refreshing flavor.

When using Yakisoba noodles, make sure to keep them in a bowl of cold water. This will not only keep the noodles moist but when you grab a handful to put them into the wok, you will get the perfect about of water!

By-the-way, when dealing with noodles such as Yakisoba, a serving is a handful. Yakisoba noodles are ready to use once you buy them and they can be purchased at all Asian markets. There are two varieties of Yakisoba noodles. There is the Chinese (the ones in these pictures) and the Japanese, which are thinner.
